- The iThinkSmart curriculum for Language Arts consists of a multitude of reading concepts that the student can acquire from Kindergarten to 12th Grade are:
- Analyzing the passage given by annotating and the usage of context clues.
- Broadening the students’ vocabulary through the usage of complex words.
- Students will be able to summarize, analyze, and comprehend along with grasping the key concept of the passage.
- In early onset reading curriculum, the student will have a plot chart which includes, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. This will help the student expand their knowledge to break down the storyline of the passage.
- The student will be able to realize the difference between fiction and nonfiction passages, along with their questions.
Writing
- The iThinkSmart curriculum for Middle School writing consists of a multitude of writing concepts that the student can acquire. These concepts include:
- Subject-verb agreement, past/present verb tense, understanding the concept of quotation marks in dialogue and citations. The students will establish the use of conjunctions, and be able to prevent the concept of fragments/run-on sentences.
